The project is funded by the European Union Structural Funds Programme 01.2.2-MITA-K-702 “Promotion of Commercialization and Internationalization of R&D Results”.

The main goal of the project is to encourage researchers and other researchers working in a research and study institution to commercialize the result of R&D by establishing a branch company.

The Institute aims to create a favorable environment for the transfer of scientific knowledge to industrial technologies and innovative products, minimizing the path from the generation of fundamental scientific knowledge to the market introduction of a knowledge-intensive product. The institute is currently developing photovoltaic technologies, photovoltaic generation, energy-saving technologies, various photovoltaic components and sensor technologies, and product development in the industrial, renewable energy, building, environmental and healthcare sectors. The growing market for Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) is driving not only the development of solar module manufacturing solutions but also the offering of innovative solutions in other value-creating segments, such as power electronics. It is currently the second development direction in the field of solar renewable energy. The growing demand for exclusive photovoltaic modules, which subtly fulfill a specific architectural idea, is shaping the need for efficient power electronics on the market, capable of adapting to the very different electrical parameters of the modules. The solutions currently available on the market are able to efficiently store the energy of standard BIPV modules, while in the case of atypical modules, a large part of the module’s usefulness is lost. The aim of this project is to develop the intelligent photoelectric power optimization platform (AIDABEL), which combines the implemented prototypes of research institutions: a) MLPE (module level power electronics) product, the so-called smart-box, and b) energy management and optimization system.
