Applied Research Institute for Prospective Technologies signed an agreement with The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania and Lithuanian Business Support Agency regarding the financing of the project “Promotion of High Added Value Business in Lithuania. Stage II. Development of Innovation Friendly Environment for High Tech and Medium High Tech Companies”. It is a follow-up of the project “Promotion of High Added Value Business in Lithuania. Stage I. Development of the tools for promoting innovation in the national technology platforms’ companies according to R&D priorities”. During the project the technological audits of the companies are performed based on which innovative ideas and the technological fields in which the companies have the potential for innovations are identified. Moreover, the concept of effective dissemination mechanism for knowledge about the technologies and innovations in contemporary society will be drafted, the main instrument of which will become the Technology Demonstration Centre. In addition, the business models for knowledge intensive business services for different SME sectors will be developed based on EU experience with the aim to improve the Lithuanian innovation system infrastructure.
